One of the pleasures of working with the repertoire of this extraordinary writer is that the process of rehearsal only increases your admiration for the play, and certainly throughout the last few weeks I have been constantly struck by its profundity, its cleverness, the beauty of its structure and language, and most surprisingly its crudeness!
