4 Nights in Knaresborough
(Frazer Theatre)
Excommunication was only the beginning, they just made the worst career move in history ! The story so far...
On Christmas Day, 1170, four nights – Reginald FitzUrse, William de Traci, Richard le Bret and Hugh de Morville – left Henry II's household in Normandy and travelled to Canterbury. In the early evening of 29th December, they assassinated Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral. A tidal wave of public outrage swept them north to Knaresborough Castle. They stayed there for a year. That is all we know about them. Their motives, the extent of Henry's complicity, and their fate after leaving Knaresborough, remain uncertain.
This fantastically gruesome comedy follows the four Knights during that year in Knaresborough and embraces the very essence of a fast moving medieval debacle containing strong language, nudity and violent and bloody martyrdom!
